Some say that N.Enkhbayar, former President will come back to life of Politics by getting elected in Chingeltei district but some denies this as PM S.Bayar and MPRP will not support the former president. MPRP have formed a working group for this election lead by Ts.Sukhbaatar, secretary of MPRP. The working group has made surveys and researched about the possible candidates. The report from the working group revealed that residents want younger MP with great knowledge and education. Some of the residents wrote “No N.Enkhbayar please” on the back of the survey sheet. Presidential election May, 2009
MPRP had supported the current president N.Enkhbayar to be a candidate for this Presidential election. N.Enkhbayar had successfully collected all 175 votes from the members of the MPRP to be a candidate. S.Bayar, Chairman of the MPRP said that they have spoken to 8 possible candidates from the MPRP and named N.Enkhbayar, former candidate in 2005.
Dem Party also held a meeting with their National Consulting Committee earlier yesterday. G.Batkhuu had pulled his name out and 224 members of the National Consulting Committee have voted for Ts.Elbegdorj and E.Bat-uul. Ts.Elbegdorj had won the election taking 65.3% of all the votes. Leaders of the political parties meet with the President
The meeting of leaders of the political parties and the President were held once in 2006 and 2007 and twice in 2008. This annual meeting of leaders of political parties that have seats in Parliament has been held at the initiative of N.Enkhbayar, President of Mongolia. S.Bayar, PM and chairman of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party, D.Lundeejantsan, head of the MPRP, G.Batkhuu, Vice speaker of the Parliament, D.Enkhbat, leader of the Green party and other leaders of the parties were at present.
Leaders of all the parties have expressed their views on the current problem which is the economic recession. The Civil Will Party stated that deposit of Tavantolgoi and Oyutolgoi are the solution to the crisis. Vietnam, Mongolia to advance economic ties
The presidents of Vietnam and Mongolia Thursday agreed to strengthen their traditional friendship and develop the scope of economic ties.

Mutual visit issues under concern
Mr. Yu Myung-hwan, Minister of Korean foreign affairs trade visited Mongolia at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.Oyun during 12th and 13th of September. This is the first MFA visit to Mongolia since 1998. At the beginning of his visit, he visited the President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar. Noting the bilateral amiable relations and cooperation of the two have been extended in all sectors via “Good neighborhood friendship and cooperation partnership” principles, the President mentioned that there were thousands of Mongols living and working in Korea and expressed gratitude for humanity services towards them. S.Bayar is re-appointed as Prime Minister winning 98,5 percent
The parliamentary session discussed the nominee to the Prime Minister of Mongolia and appointed S.Bayar to the position with 98.5 percent vote of 65 members out of 66, participated in the session. Also the Parliament resolution on appointing S.Bayar to the position was approved with 98,5 percent vote. Only Ts.Elbegdorj, former leader of the Democratic party, had opposite vote. D.Terbishdagva of MPRP, who has been against the Coalition Government until today’s session, vote for him at last.
After his appointment, S.Bayar delivered speech at the session, then President N.Enhbayar received him at his office.

MPRP proposes S.Bayar as prime minister to the president
As a result of last parliamentary election which held on June 29, MPRP has a majority in State Great Khural, but party refused to implement its power alone and made an agreement with opposition Democratic Party on coalition government. Yesterday, S.Bayar, 52, Chairman of MPRP and current prime minister of Mongolia, nominated by MPRP for prime minister of new cabinet. President received Yo.Otgonbayar, General Secretary of MPRP and L.Amarsanaa, Secretary of MPRP, and stated that he will make necessary steps in 5 days according to the constitution of Mongolia.
FM to Visit Russia, Mongolia This Week
Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan will leave for Russia Tuesday to pave the way for President Lee Myung-bak’s visit to Moscow later this fall.
For the next three days, Yu will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other officials to discuss Lee’s itinerary.
Yu and Russian officials will also discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation, including the development of Russia’s Far East and Siberian regions. North Korea’s nuclear issue will also be on his agenda.
On Friday, Yu will head to Mongolia for a two-day visit. He will meet with Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar and Prime Minister Sanjaa Bayar.
Yu will seek to strengthen cooperation with Mongolia’s new government and ask Mongolia to allow Korean firms to take part in its resource development projects.
