MPRP group has supported Mr. L.Purevdorj to be the new President of Mongol Bank
The State Great Khural has approved the request of Mr. A.Batsukh, the President of Mongol bank to be dismissed from his post. The speaker of the State Great Khural has named L.Purevdorj, former MP, Davaasambuu, former ambassador and L.Molomjamts who had previously worked as the president of Mongol Bank. MRPR group have supported L.Purevdorj to be the replacement for President of Mongol Bank. The new President of Mongol bank is not formally named and the meeting of MPs from the MPRP group of the State Great Khural has not finished. MPRP wins the local self-government election in Ulaanbaatar City
The local self-government election is important election, because through this administration the Government Action Plan implements and reaches to people. Therefore, to win this election is also vital as for the Parliamentary election. Moreover, it can be said that every election district of MPs is under control of local self government and if two parties conflict like if MP has opposition administration in local government administration, he or she is working without right hand.
MPRP and DP joint government reassured
We informed that MPRP and DP leaders are to sign on Joint government agreement at the State Palace. S.Bayar, MPRP leader, N.Altanhuyag, DP leader, members of a task group, comprising of two party members to form joint government, and other members attended the signing event. Though MPRP has won the majority in the Parliament, it decided to establish a joint government with the minority, which shocked many people. MP D.Lundeejantsan, the Chairman of the MPRP group at the State Great Khural, provided information to media.
MPRP group meeting was held and informed about the completion of the state administrative organizations structure. During this meeting, the structure and general formation of implementing and instructing agencies were discussed in details, based on the requests of MPs. Prime Minister S.Bayar called his Cabinet Ministers for the very first Cabinet Meeting on Monday, September 23 2008. He was questioned by journalists for his planned visit to USA and discussed issues of the Cabinet Meeting.

S.Bayar: The main issues were monetary policy, inflation, state budget of year 2009, principles, and amending budget of year 2008. Basically, all starts from monetary and state hold. State officials cannot be candidates
The official date of the local self-government election was announced by the State Great Khural (Parliament). Its principle was changed than the previous ones. In the previous election, officials from the aimag, city, soum, district Offices were allowed to become candidate. But, starting from this election, if the state officials become candidate, then they cannot resume their position after the election. Therefore, not many people are willing to compete for the local self-government election, from the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party.
Before, they thought that if won seats from the local civil representatives’ council (literally local parliament), then it was the service of the state. But situation changed this year, therefore, there are quite few candidates from MPRP. But it is still unclear for the Democratic Party. All in all, medium ranking state officials are out of the local self-government election game.
S.Bayar is re-appointed as Prime Minister winning 98,5 percent
The parliamentary session discussed the nominee to the Prime Minister of Mongolia and appointed S.Bayar to the position with 98.5 percent vote of 65 members out of 66, participated in the session. Also the Parliament resolution on appointing S.Bayar to the position was approved with 98,5 percent vote. Only Ts.Elbegdorj, former leader of the Democratic party, had opposite vote. D.Terbishdagva of MPRP, who has been against the Coalition Government until today’s session, vote for him at last.
After his appointment, S.Bayar delivered speech at the session, then President N.Enhbayar received him at his office.

Mongolian parliament appoints vice chairmen
ULAN BATOR, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — Mongolia’s new parliament on Wednesday appointed Nyamaa Enkhbold from the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) and the Democratic Party’s Gavaa Bathuu as its vice chairmen.
Nyamaa Enkhbold was minister of foreign affairs and director of the governmental administration in the former government.

MPRP proposes S.Bayar as prime minister to the president
As a result of last parliamentary election which held on June 29, MPRP has a majority in State Great Khural, but party refused to implement its power alone and made an agreement with opposition Democratic Party on coalition government. Yesterday, S.Bayar, 52, Chairman of MPRP and current prime minister of Mongolia, nominated by MPRP for prime minister of new cabinet. President received Yo.Otgonbayar, General Secretary of MPRP and L.Amarsanaa, Secretary of MPRP, and stated that he will make necessary steps in 5 days according to the constitution of Mongolia.
