Develop National Corporation in Order to Mine Ourselves
Singer B.Khongor, Ts.Jadambaa of Global Leadership Institute, and number of other guys announced that they are founding “Bayan Mongol” (stand for Richer Mongolia) civil movement. According to them, Mongolia shall incorporate National Corporation which could serve for the purpose of developing mining projects. “Most important thing is that we, Mongolians have to explore, mine, and develop our minerals ourselves. No foreign company involvement. As of today, Mongolia has 54 strategically significant deposits. We can raise much money from Hong Kong and Toronto exchanges through announcing IPO. Many foreign invested companies gathered their money by this way. And, also there would not be any state dominance. In case of state dominance, we shall proceed like Erdenet, and almost 5 per cent of profit would be distributed to Mongolians.”, they say.
Mining and Construction Sectors Need Workers
Union of Employers of Mongolia, Labor and Social Service Agency, and Student Union of Mongolia jointly organize Labor Expo annually. Organizers say Expo makes a long-term connection between new graduates and worker needed employers. Last year’s unemployed rate of 3.2 per cent decreased to 3 per cent this year. Almost 20 companies had participated labor expo and most of them were looking for managers, economists, accountants, marketing managers, and mining specialists. 441 unemployed citizens found a job during the expo. Also, organizers held business and legal information activities to venture managers, some small companies.
Government Signs Agreement with Microsoft Corporation
Yesterday, Government of Mongolia signed cooperation agreement with Microsoft Corporation. In accordance with the agreement, parties should develop cooperation in IT sector including communication service, speed and new training. Ch.Saikhanbileg, Head of ICTA and parliamentary election candidate of Democratic Party, stated that effective cooperation with Microsoft Corporation shall be strong support for “Tsakhim Mongol” (which stand for “Digital Mongolia”) government programme and we could be ranked 10 in Asia by fundamental IT development.
Agreement also should provide that Mongolian skilled IT engineers’ possibility to export their knowledge and products to world market.
Apartment for 4000 Households is to be Constructed
In framework of the Program “40 thousand household apartments” developed by the Government, a micro-district is to be constructed in Khan-Uul District. At the resolution of the City Governor, 100 percent South Korean invested Company M&G was provided with 11.8 hectare land in the 1st khoroo of the District area. There 4000-household apartment with kindergarten, school. Sport complex and service center is to be constructed. 400 residents of ger district shall be provided with apartments at the evaluation of their land.
Also 20 public servants shall have opportunities to have apartments free of charge. It was planned to make 30 office areas for khoroo, family hospital and police ready this year. In order to accelerate the activity, land permissions for 26 locations were allowed and are ready for resolutions.

Mongolian Citizens Died in Afghanistan
Some media reported that three Mongolian citizens died in Afghanistan during terrorist attack. We clarified about it from J.Sereejav, spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Our citizens died in Afghanistan. When did you receive this information?
We delivered information on May 23. In Afghanistan, our country represented by embassy in New Delhi, and receiving official information through this mission. As we knew, Diamond Nippon LLC of Japan hired 20 Mongolian employees and they worked in Japan invested project of new airport in Kabul. Four of them poisoned. Three died. We obliged embassy to gather more information on poison and have not yet medical evaluation.
Asgat and Boroo Gold Deposits are to be Excluded from Strategic List
The present Parliament, of which power is coming to an end, ratified the strategic deposit list for the first time. The term strategic deposit was incorporated in the legislation at the modifications to the Minerals law of 1997. However the current Parliament is very close to destroy the list they passed. It is trying to ratify the draft law on modifications to the Minerals Law passed in 2006.
Last Friday the first discussion of drafts was held, incorporating draft law initiated by 19 MPs including Ts.Damiran and other one, initiated by those such as E.Bat-Uul. It was incorporated in a draft law, initiated by Ts.Damiran and others that state ownership of strategic deposits would be 51 percent and in a one, initiated by E.Bat-Uul and others that investment agreement should be concluded on the basis of product-sharing contracts.

S.Bayar Visits Chita Region
Prime Minister S.Bayar had worked 2 days in Dornod aimag. Yesterday, he changed his schedule and now visiting to Chita region of Russian Federation. Prime minister will hold a meeting with Sergey Kiriyenko, who is director general of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation. S.Kiriyenko, also working in Chita region same days, had sent an invitation to S.Bayar, and PM decided to meet with him to talk on Russian-Mongolian nuclear cooperation. Prime Minister visited Russia in April. During his visit, the Industry and Trade Ministry of Mongolia and Rosatom signed a joint plan of action in the field of uranium mining, envisaging a number of joint projects for prospecting, mining and processing uranium and other natural resources.
Mongolian Businessmen Started to help Sichuan
As of May 21, 71 thousand people lost life and over 220 injured due to earthquake in Sichuan, China. Also material loss is estimated USD 20 billion. Over 14 thousand companies suffered loss of USD 9.5 billion and 1400 workers lost their life in Sichuan and neighbor provinces. Mongolian people didn’t sit back at this very hard and tragic time. The Government of Mongolia sent USD 50 thousand to China as aid. Among business organizations, MCS pioneered in giving aid hands to China. Representatives of MCS group handed over MNT 10 million to the Embassy of China for the Chinese people, hit by disasters. Staff of the Embassy expressed their gratitude for warmth and sincerity of the MCS staff.
Every Mongolian Citizen, Born Before 2013, is to Own Land
The Parliament session discussed draft law on land ownership of a Mongolian citizen yesterday. After the ratification of the law, MP G.Batkhuu, D.Gankhuyag and T.Ochirkhuu informed to the media outlets. It is stated in the Constitution of Mongolia that every citizen of Mongolia has a right to land ownership. Law on land states, every citizen has a right to own land once. Thanks to ratification of the law on land ownership to a Mongolian citizen, these two provisions of the laws can be realized.
The law regulates 4 kinds of relations, such as giving land to every citizen for ownership, transferring previously owned land to the name of any family member and giving land to other members of the family for ownership and increasing land scale to be owned by citizens, etc.

Rosnefti Proposals Are Rejected
Economic Standing Committee of the Parliament held a session yesterday.
Value of Russian oil export tariff went up to USD241 per ton. According to estimation, if export tariff increases by 16.2 percent on June, price per ton shall reach USD 279-282. Due to such increase, oil price in the domestic market would go up by MNT219-351.
Kh.Narankhuu, Minister of Industry and Trade: The Government should hold a policy on oil processing plant. Rosnefti Company granted us discount of USD 4.8 million last February and March. The Company also restricted diesel fuel.
At the moment, majority of SC members expressed their rejection on establishing 100 Russian gas stations in order to supply 10 percent of import.
