The Ministry of Economic Development and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development UNCTAD are jointly working to develop a report about the investment environment of Mongolia. It reflects issues such economics diversity, adjustment of economic structure that depends on mining, investments’ flow to regions of Mongolia, elimination of investment source’s dependence on one country.
Within this framework, The Ministry of Economic Development is organizing national forum, which will be attended by over 100 participants from governments officials, embassy representatives, international organizations, private sectors, and NGO`s at the Kempinski Hotel today.
The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag received Monday Mr Supachai Panitchpakdi, the Director-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He also thanked Mr Panitchpakdi for analyzing Mongolia’s investment policy and for giving advice, and said his government is focusing on investing the spheres able to produce the national brand products–cashmere, wool, leather, dairy and meat products, and tourism.
