The 2nd International Conference on “Mineral Resources-Reference Material” will take place on 27-28 November, 2012 at Kempinski  Khan Palace Hotel in Mongolia. It will be co-organized by Central Geological Laboratory (CGL) of Mongolia and Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) of Germany. The Conference is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Mongolian mining sector, the 55th anniversary of Central Geological Laboratory (CGL), and to the the 50th anniversary of Mongolian-German cooperation in the geological field.
Representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations in the geological field of Mongolia and over 20 experts from all over the world are expected to take part in this pre-eminent venue. Around 140 personalities from the international Certified Reference Material (CRM) community, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), International Association of Geoanalysts (IAG), relevant Mongolian government bodies, mining companies and universities are assembling in Ulaanbaatar city.
The event will start with introductions and welcoming remarks contributed t by Mr. B. Batjargal (General Director of CGL), Mr. P.Schaller (Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mongolia), Mr. Ch.Otgochuluun (Head of the Strategy and Planning Department of the Ministry of Mining, Mongolia), and Mr. D. Bold (Head of the Geology Department of the Mineral Resources Authority, Mongolia).
