Import prices of fuel supplied from Rosneft to Mongolia were increased effective this month. In particular, price for the gasoline A-80 previously supplied at US$ 1,100 per ton rose by 32 US dollars, reaching US$ 1,132, while the A-92 is now to be imported at US$ 1,345, increasing by US$ 44.

However, import price for the type A-95 is to remain unchanged.
It is said that the major reason for the price jump is the fact that Russia raised its export tax on fuel by 6.4 percent from the beginning of the month.

The Government of Mongolia had made a decision in the past month to impose an excise tax of 109 thousand MNTs per ton of diesel imported into the country. This move was a response of the government to the reductions in import prices of diesel in April. However, the diesel price went up again by US$90 this month hitting US$1,061 per ton.
