President Ts.Elbegdorj arrived in Zagreb, Croatia, for an official visit at the invitation of his counterpart Ivo Josipovic on Thursday. After a welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held one-on-one talks.
Ts.Elbegdorj said Mongolia is ready to widen and develop bilateral relations with Croatia in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres. He congratulated Croatia for the country’s development, growing reputation in the international arena, and for its efforts to join the European Union.
I.Josipovic thanked Ts.Elbegdorj for visiting the country and said the visit opens a new page in the two nations’ relations. He added that Mongolia has achieved progress in democracy and the economy, and Mongolian democracy has become an example in the region.
The presidents agreed to address issues such as anti-corruption e
fforts, fair judicial organizations, and law enforcement.
Ts.Elbegdorj will also meet with Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Luka Bebic and Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.
