Mongolian Ambassador to Russia D.Idevkhten said in Elstei city of Khalimag that President Elbegdorj’s official visit to Russia had been a success. Several important agreements, such as ones on setting up the Uvs nuuriin khotgor conservation area, and increasing the equity base of Ulaanbaatar Railway, have been signed and the way paved for signing of several more in the near future.
The President stressed to both President D. Medvedev and Premier V.Putin Mongolia’s need for uninterrupted supply of petroleum from Russia. Idevkhten said Russia is expected to take prompt remedial action. Further talks will be held to regulate employment of Mongolians and Russians in each other’s country. Some 5,000 Mongolians live in Russia, including students.
