The Director of the UN Population Fund of Asia and Pacific Regional Office, Mrs. Nobuko Horibe is visiting Mongolia between April 4 and 8 on an invitation from Ministry of Health, to mark the 50th anniversary of cooperation between the UN and the Mongolian Ministry of Health. Yesterday, Nobuko Horibe met with Health Minister S.Lambaa and presented aids to the Ministry of Health.
Mrs. Horibe will call on Prime Minister S.Batbold, Parliament Speaker D.Demberel, Minister for Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandhi and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade B.Bolor to discuss programs to be implemented in Mongolia in the next five years. Mrs. Horibe had earlier visited Mongolia in 1999 as a monitor and estimate advisor at the UNPF. In addition, she will go to Darkhan-Uul aimag on April 6 and visit the hospitals of Darkhan-Uul aimag and Khongor soum.
