Mongolian Ambassador to Cyprus Ts.Gankhuyag met with officials of Cyprus in Nicosia and signed agreements.

Mongolia and Cyprus signed two separate memorandum of understanding on cooperation in stock exchanges of the two countries and between their National Olympic committees. The sides also signed an intergovernmental agreement on mutual release of diplomatic and official passport holders from visa requirements.

“The sides will sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in neurology and genetics in the nearest future” said a government official adding that there are more documents pending such as MOU on protection of cultural heritage, agreement on mutual protection and encouragement of investment and agreement on mutual exemption from double tax. Mongolia and Cyprus established diplomatic relations in 1973. There are about sixty Mongolians studying and working in Cyprus.
