Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has arrived to Mongolia on June 1st. His second day of visit to Mongolia, he provides speech at the Mongolia – China Economic Forum, started at 8.50 am, June 2nd. He will attend the opening ceremony of the Chinese Business Center.

After the business meeting, President Ts.Elbegdorj will receive Premier Wen. It is his first visit to abroad and the previous visit of the Chinese Premier was 16 years ago. Prime Minister S.Batbold raised dialogue on the possibility of building pipeline through Mongolia to China.
Nine documents were signed during the visit

Chinese Premier Wen’s visit was quite short, but it is full of fruitful achievements. Nince documents were signed by sides, including Intergovernmental Agreement on border regime. It was the renewal of 1988 agreement, which regulates the border regime and border issues between Mongolia and China. Upon signature of the agreement, legal environment of protecting border, border regime in the areas neighbouring the border zones, prevention of illegal activities will be improved.

Wen-JiabaoChina provides grant aid of CNY 50 million to Mongolia

According to the economic and technical cooperation agreement between the Mongolian – Chinese Government, the Chinese Government will grant 50 million CNY to the Mongolian Government. The grant aid will be used for the sector agreed by both sides. Also China will host 60 youth travelers of Mongolia and provide scholarship for 2000 students in every year for 5 years.

Ulaanbaatar City will have Beijing Street

The Beijing Street is resolved by the Ulaanbaatar City Representatives Khural to be established and developed in the road and area in the southern side of the Chinese Embassy Building in Ulaanbaatar.
