Mongolia would issue sovereign bond

Committee Members stated that planned activities in Q1 and Q2 of 2010 were under implementation.During the meeting, Mr. S.Bayartsogt, Minister for Finance, informed that preparation work of issuing bond in the international market. According to the Government plan, it has capacity to issue sovereign bond of ₮1.2 billion in Asia, Europe and US. It plans to take decisive measures towards this direction after the joint program “Standby” together with IMF.
Prime Minister S.Batbold, Head of the Organizing Committee of “Business Environment Reform Year”, commented during his closing speech that “… It was quite general meeting. We should not wait to organize such a big meeting, instead we should summon weekly to debrief our achievements and findings for supporting favourable business environment.”
