Mongolia will have Law on Mineral License

President Ts.Elbegdorj suspended mineral license issuance through the National Security Council of Mongolia, by 17.00 April 20 2010. Therefore, faith of 4706 licenses, 3610 exploration and 1096 mining licenses covering 24% of the total territory of Mongolia, are under the State Control.
In relationship with the current measure, Presidential Office started developing the legal environment regarding the mineral licenses. In June, the first draft will be openly discussed by the Civil Council next to the Presidential Office. The license issuance is suspended until the new law is adopted.
