The probable elction of Ts. Elbegdorj as President of Mongolia ought not to deter Prime Mimister Bayer from carrying out his program to open up the economy of Mongolia by having a contract approved for the OT mine after consultatlions with the Standing Comm of the Parliament, the Working Comm of the GOM, and Officials of Ivanhoe and Rio Mining Companies.
President Elbegdorj ought to be consulted for his views, but not given vetoe power to delay an accptable OT contract for months or years.
PM Bayar was elected bwith a srong voter mandate to open up the mines and push foward with economic development and prosperity for Mongolia and the Mongolian people.

  2. Arthur, You should not tell mongolian newly elected president what to do or not. This is main issue between us Mongolians and you investors. BTW, we have a rigth tell you what to do or not in our land means you should mine or not because your are in Mongolian territory but not in Indian reserve or in Africa.
PM Bayar could to do what his party told to do (means you can lobby him through his party). But it is definetely untrue for the president who elected by the all mongolian people.
