Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade reports that
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. S.Batbold met with the Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations resident in Mongolia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on September 29, 2008. The Minister expressed his honor to meet the Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Missions, and stressed that the Ministry’s functional capacity and structure are expanding in accordance with the formation of new Coalition Government.
The Minister also noted that the foreign policy priority will be given to the creation of more favorable conditions for foreign trade, to enhanced effectiveness in economic collaboration, and to securing investment opportunities for balanced interests in order to make foreign policy more economic-oriented.
The Minister S.Batbold emphasized the importance of close cooperation with international humanitarian and human rights organizations in order to achieve the key priority objectives for the diplomatic service of Mongolia, which are to implement, at all levels, the state policy to secure human rights and freedom, and to defend legal rights of citizens of Mongolia living abroad.
