A regular consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and DPRK was held on September 16-19, 2008 in Pyongyang, DPRK.   Meeting was chaired by Mr. D.Tsogtbaatar, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mongolia and Mr. Kim Yong IL, the Deputy Foreign Minister of DPRK.

During the consultative meeting, sides have exchanged views on the issues of bilateral cooperation which will take effect in 2008-2012 in the political, economic and cultural spheres and issues of cooperation at the regional and international level.

The State Secretary Mr .D.Tsogtbaatar paid courtesy calls on the Vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of DPRK, Mr.Yang Hyun Seop, and the Foreign Minister Mr.Park Eu Choon. He also met Mr. Lee Myoung San, DPRK Vice Minister for Foreign Trade and the Head of DPRK-Mongolia Inter-Governmental Consultative Committee and Mr. An Young Gee, the Head of Foreign Relations Department of the Defense Ministry to exchange views on bilateral issues.

The sides agreed to call the next consultative meeting in 2009, in Ulaanbaatar.
