Prime Minister sees Olympic sportsmen

Prime Minister and Chairman of National Committee for Olympic preparations S.Bayar received sportsmen, heading for Beijing 2008 Olympics. 29 Mongolian sportsmen are taking parts in the XXIX Olympics. Looking at the sportsmen, the Prime Minister said hello along with nice compliment. He says, “Our sportsmen won 15 medals from 10 Olympic competitions since Tokyo Olympics held in 1964. I believe you could win several more medals from Beijing Olympics, writing a brand new history of victory and success.” The Prime Minister had some good news to the sportsmen as well.

A Famous US Magazine “Sports Illustrated” guesstimated potential attendees who could win medals from the XXIX Olympics. The Magazine guesstimated that E.Badar-Uugan /boxing/ could win gold and H.Tsagaanbaatar /judo/ bronze. It says several Mongolian sportsmen might win medals. Moreover, S.Bayar told them to win more medals and come back with delight. During the meeting, Prime Minister handed over MNT 117.8 million to H.Erdenet-Od, U.Munkh-Erdene, H.Tsagaanbaatar, Enhzorig, Bundmaa and O.Gundegmaa for the success they achieved from global, regional and international competitions. Also a subsidence of MNT 200.000 to each sportsman was handed over and then a recall photo was shot.
