Newly Elected Members Cannot Take Oaths

New parliamentarians, elected as results of the Parliament Election, held on June 29, expected to take oaths and hold the first session today, but they didn’t. 25 members, elected from the Democratic Party attended the opening of the first session, however they quit the session at 01.30, claiming the election results were paradoxical. According to legislations, Parliament should be active at the oath taking of 57 Parliament members but there were 39 MPRP members, 1 independent and 1 Civil Will member. President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar, who started the session, called the Leaders of parties including MPRP, DP and CW to collaborate on solving the current condition in accordance with Parliament procedures and start activities of the new Parliament ASAP. And the first session of the Parliament takes a break.
