Total industrial production reached 738.2 billion MNT (price rate of year 2000) and was increased by 13.1% or 85.4 billion MNT, if compares against the previous year. 1.7% of total increase of mining industry (2.8%) was provided by oil and gas production sector and 1.1% was provided by coal and other mining sector.
18.5% of total increase of processing industry (31.8%) was provided by steel industry, 9.2% by food and beverage industry, 4.1% is provided by other processing industry.
As of the first 10 months of year 2008, the industrial sector sold 2560.7 billion MNT at the foreign and domestic market.
