“Mongolian Millennium Challenge Foundation” plans to spend 189 million US$ for “Mongolian Railway Innovation Project”. It is 66.3% of the total budget that was allocated for the “Millennium Challenge Foundation” from “Millennium Challenge Corporation” of USA. The main purpose of the project is to innovate the locomotive park and communication and signalization system, to purchase load carriage wagon, supply of new equipment of road repair and strengthening capacity.
Within the framework of the project, over 30 locomotives, 150 load carriages and equipments of signalization, communication and maintenance will be purchased. Also project budget will used for training of staff in new equipments and technology. Internationally accredited accounting and book-keeping standard will be introduced and followed.
