The last visit of the Russian PM V.Putin was in the year 2000. According to the Russian and worldwide media he will visit Mongolia from the 13th of May. This visit is continuation of series of Diplomatic meetings between Mongolia and Russia but none to do with the Presidential election explains the Ministry of External Relations of Mongolia.

The PM of Russia is planning to discuss many issues in a short space of time. They will discuss about joint invested Ulan-Bator Railway Association, railway extension project to South Gobi parts of Mongolia, Tavan Tolgoi project and other matters regarding the two countries. Additionally, this visit will reveal how the Russian would like to participate in the Tavan Tolgoi project. The visit of the Russian PM is definite this time as the preparatory works for the visit has begun.
