Commercial banks requested to buy 6.6 million USD from Mongol Bank during today’s foreign currency trade auction at the Mongol Bank and all requests were successful. Today, there were no requests to sell foreign currencies to the Mongol Bank. Average price of USD against MNT was 1441.02 but the closing price of USD at the end of the auction was 1439.50. This auction of foreign currency takes place every week and its aim is to stabilize the value of MNT.
