Australian Haranga Resources’ major 2012 drill program is well under way at the Selenge Iron Ore Project in northern Mongolia, with eight drill rigs currently on site. There have been 41 holes completed, including 28 at Dund Bulag and 13 at the Bayantsogt deposit. Initial results from geological mapping have revealed wide intervals of between 170-250 meters of iron mineralization at Dund Bulag. Drilling at Bayantsogt appears to have extended the zone of high grade mineralization by a further 100 meters to the southwest.
Haranga’s managing director Robert Wrixon says, “The company is extremely pleased with progress of the 2012 drilling program, particularly the apparent widths of iron mineralization at Dund Bulag appearing to surpass expectations. It is becoming clear that Dund Bulag represents a major discovery by the company.”
